Wedding Cocktail HourReviewed on September 14, 2012From Chappaqua, NY

This jazz duo was awesome -- they customized the music to the type I was looking for and played the music soulfully and flawlessly. Elliot, Tutty's manager, was super professional and made planning a breeze. Tutty is incredibly talented and I would gladly book these guys again!

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on June 13, 2012From Tenafly, NJ

Tutty Amin performed at my wedding ceremony in March. Even though the ceremony was in a different state he arrived early to set up and was prepared to perform well ahead of schedule. My guests and pastor loved that idea of a saxophone player and he did not disappoint. Elliot, Tutty's manager was friendly and very professional. He stayed on top of all of my requests and they both helped to make this special day unforgettable. I would without a doubt recommend Tutty for any occasion that requires a musician.

Cocktail PartyReviewed on April 5, 2012From New York City, NY

Tutty Amin was fantastic on the saxaphone. He played a little bit of everything. He is exceptionally talented. He was accompanied by a keyboard player, Brandon. Together their performance was great. They both had great personalities, were very professional and fit right in with my guests. All of my guests were highly complementary of their performance. Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with Tutty and Brandon. I will definitely be inviting them to perform for us again in the near future. If you want a great sax player, ask for Tutty. We highly recommend him.

Cocktail PartyReviewed on August 26, 2012From Madison, NJ

The jazz trio with Tutty Amin playing lead on saxophone was great! The musical skills of the group was more then my wife and I could had ever hoped for and everyone at the wedding felt the same. If you are a true jazz lover, then shop not further and book Tutty Amin and his group for your wedding! I promise you it will be a very wise decision.

Engagement PartyReviewed on May 3, 2011From Manhattan, NY

For my proposal, I wanted to have a saxophonist and vocalist in a limo for a private concert. After I placed the request on Gigmasters, I was promptly contacted by Elliot, Tut's manager. Not only was Elliot incredibly professional, but he went above and beyond to also recommend a guitarist, Dave Rosenthal. Tut and Dave gifted us with a magical performance. They played my setlist and improvised additional songs as well. Tut is a smooth character worthy of his New Orleans background. He can play very sensual jazz, upbeat pop, romantic interludes, you name it and he'll delight your ear as his saxophone serenades you. I highly recommend Tut for any performance.

We would like to thank Mr.Jones for giving us the opportunity to perform while he proposed to his fiancee. It was a very touching moment.

Private PartyReviewed on November 29, 2009From Melville, NY

It was a REAL PLEASURE having this talented band perform at my party. Everyone that made a comment about the entertainers on stage said something positive. The bandleader Mr. Tut Burks is a young man with immense talent and will rise to the top as time goes by. I loved their singer. She was wonderful.Sankofa Soul's performance was so good that 3 of my relatives wants them to play at future parties for them.I say catch them while you can because they are blasting off & heading for the stars. You can bet that I will hire them again.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on November 6, 2012From Montville, NJ

Granted we had a hurricane, but the bride received a call 11pm the night before the wedding, saying Tut did not have transportation due to the gas shortage. We suggested mass transit and we would arrange pick up from train station. Contract was signed for 4pm to 7pm. He did not arrive at venue until nearly 5:30 pm, did not come dressed, had to change clothes at the venue. Played only for the wedding service and NOT the cocktail hour as contracted. Heard this from guests, we we're taking pictures and missed cocktail hour. His services cost was $350.00 plus we paid for part of the cab fares. Never spoke to Mr. Amin, only his manager - nice, but not what we expected.

Just by reading the opening sentence of the above review, the reader will know off the bat that this client was ridiculous. We showed up right after Hurricane Sandy from NYC!!! We still made it to NJ on time!!! By train. Couldn't get gas. When we called, the parents didn't want to pay for a cab to pick us up. There was no consideration that we had to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and the reception hall didn't have electricity. We have NEVER had a bad review until dealing with this wedding from Hell! How dare this bride attack our professionalism. Our track record speaks for itself.
