We hired the BBJ Band for our combined 40/50 Birthday party. Not only are they one of the most talented bands in all of San Diego, they are personable and professional. I absolutey loved working with them. Our party was a hit because of the music. I shook hands with each of the band members and they were ALL extremely curtious and again, professional. You can tell these guys enjoy jamming together. All of our guests were asking us where we found them!! Black Belt Jones Band had my entire wedding party up and dancing from the moment they started. At one point, a huge conga line emerged, but being the bride, I'm having a hard time remembering what song was being played at the time. Still waiting to see the video for the replay. If you're looking for a quality jazz/funk band, do yourself a favor and hire these guys for your upcoming party. You won't regret it.

The evening started off with some nice jazz during dinner, and I was wondering how the band would pull off going from soft jazz to dance. Well, they pulled it off, big time! Black Belt Jones had everyone on their feet. They played songs that everyone knew and loved. When you have a function like ours, you expect the food to be good, and it was. You expect the venue to be special, and it was (The Prado at Balboa Park) but the band is always suspect. We certainly picked a winner with Black Belt Jones. They are a very talented group.

Black Belt Jones Band is by far one of the most talented, professional, and fun bands we have had yet at Wiens Family Cellars. They kept the party going! I am still receiving compliments from patrons about their performance. We will definitely have them back and would recommend them to anyone!

I used Black Belt Jones Band for a Holiday party recently. All arrangements were made through Joe who was a pleasure to work with. He was able to accomodate every request and was very flexible with the planning of the event. The band played a two hour set for the party and they were exceptional. I hope to have the opportunity to use them again.

We cannot rave enough about Black Belt Jones and our whole experience hiring them for our wedding reception. They were professional up-front, learned a song for our first dance, and gave us complete confidence in the set-up prior to the wedding. Our guests are still asking about the band and commenting on what a great experience it was. And these folks are MUSICIANS- they are so talented and were able to play a range from background dinner music to great dance music. There is nothing "wedding band cheesy" about these guys- they are as cool as it comes. We wished we had another party to hire them. We are hug fans and will go see them play whenever possible.
