HEY FOLKS! HAPPY NEW YEAR! As I write this on New Year's Day, I can't help but reflect on my accomplishments of the past year. And they all pale in comparison to the MONUMENTAL DEEDS of our BRAVE and COMMITTED TROOPS in Iraq, Afghanistan and other hotspots on this planet. My hat is off to all of you!!! I pray for your safe return, and I pray that God gives President Bush the strength, wisdom and courage to resolve the troubles that beset us. Great news! I wrote a song a while back for FARM AID, 'HEAVEN'S GATE,' it's been picked up by a MAJOR NASHVILLE PUBLISHER, watch out for it! Well, it's winter and that means STUDIO. Yep, my next album, "Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear," will be released next summer. If you want an accomplished performing songwriter, read on: Scott Cook has been travelling and experiencing the United States his entire life, and turning that experience into gritty songs like 'Wanted In Paradise' to the more sublime songs like 'Old Man Couldn't See.' He recently performed on the TV show 'Nashville Onstage,' where one publisher in the audience likened him to Bob Dylan. Scott also will perform any gig at any venue you have in mind. He and Susan Gabrielle, one of the country's premier vocalists and pianists, comprise the band 'Strait Up,' playing anything from George Strait to Clint Black to Marshall Tucker Band. Scott is a member of Nashville Songwriters Association International and Broadcast Music International.
