Ronnie Caywood & Retro Country Country Band from Rockdale, TX

I began playing guitar & singing while in High School, formed a band and continued thru College and a stint in the Army. I then took another job, but thru the years, Music kept tugging at my heart-strings and I picked up that ole guitar two years ago, started writing songs, recorded some songs, and wrote some more songs (some songs took honorable mention in National Songwriting). I started playing solo gigs and have been in demand ever since. Music is my passion. We recently put together a band and it has been an awesome experience. The guys who play in the band, Ronnie Huckaby, Benny McArthur, Dan Dreban and Tom Batts, have diverse and successful backgrounds and their musical influences are as widespread as the music they play. They have all played with the best of the best and some also sing as well. We have a wide voice range and do original and cover tunes from such artists as Roy Orbison, Ray Price, Marty Robbins, Delbert McClinton, Hank Williams, Van Morrison, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Robert Earl Keen, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Josh Turner, Tracy Lawrence, Brooks & Dunn, Hank, Jr., Kenny Chesney, Pat Greene and tons of others. I still do some solo gigs and have recently shared bills with Claude Gray, Norma Jean, Mary Lou Turner, Jody Miller, Dickey Overby (former steel player for Ronnie Millsap), Pauline Reese, Darell McCall, Noel Haggard and Phillip Glyn. I started out as Ronnie & The Rains but we decided to rename us and now we are Retro Country. We have a great time and do some fantastic shows.
