On October 1st, 2017, Brett attended the 'Route 91 Harvest' festival in Las Vegas.
He was standing within feet of victims who had been severely wounded and fatally shot, and could hear bullets ricochet off the fence beside him. He was fortunately able to flee the scene, and survived the incident with only minor cuts and bruises. The group was intensely shaken and an indelible mark was left on all three of them. It was necessary to take time off for Brett to heal, and as a part of the healing process, they sought out to make the most meaningful and purposeful music as possible, both melodically and lyrically. Which led them to Nashville in early 2018, where they wrote and recorded their second EP with producer Andy Sheridan, founder of 'Charlie Horse Productions' and musical director for artists Hunter Hayes and Ben Rector.
Their singles; "Afraid of the Dark", "Steal the Thunder" and "Cut Me Loose" are available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon music, as well as other streaming platforms.
