Ggreg Snyder is a country singer in the vein of Waylon, Johnny Cash, Josh Turner & other bass-baritone legends. He recently released the album "Vittles For Thought" on Guano Records & Sound, consisting of 13 original country songs. It is currently available on all major music download outlets.

You may have seen him on t.v. ("Man Show" & "Beat The Geeks" on Comedy Central, "USA: Up All Night", "Trekkies 2" on Showtime, commercials, etc.) He and his Rustix specialize in honky-tonk music, the Bakersfield Sound. The band also plays a selection of rock and blues classics. If your affair involves country-style dancing, Ggreg can put together a show that will get your friends moving. Ggreg & the Rustix can perform as a quartet (Vocals/rhythm guitar, lead guitar, bass & drums), quintet, sextet or more (add keyboards, fiddle, banjo, dobro, whatever suits your needs.) For more intimate affairs, GSR can perform as a trio or duo... just tell us what you want.

Sound system: The band can supply its own sound system, with 2 600 watt pa speakers, mixer, amps, monitors & mikes.

If your event is all about line dancing, the Rustix can provide a professional dancer experienced in country dancing to help you and your guests get their feet moving.

Ggreg maintains residences in both Southern California & Las Vegas, NV, and is available for bookings in both areas. Ggreg speaks fluent Spanish & is conversant in Japanese.

The Antelope Valley Press noted this act's "musical flair..., upbeat tunes and classic musicianship," and the Muse Patrol blog admired Ggreg's "Folksy gravitas." Despite his musical theatre background, he is perfectly at home playing honky-tonk country, performing the music of Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash, Josh Turner, Zac Brown, Trace Adkins, Waylon Jennings & many others. A typical set might consist of the following songs: Your Man, All My Exes Live In Texas, Luchenbach Texas, Tequila Sunrise, Squeezebox, Honky Tonk Women, Jambalaya, Good Time, Earnest (original 2 step), and Ring Of Fire. Or maybe: Check Yes Or No, Why Don't We Just Dance, Poor Poor Pitiful Me, People Are Crazy, Sixteen Tons, Love Me Tender, Margaritaville, Waltz Across Texas, Tulsa Time and Chattahoochie.

Ggreg has played venues in North America, Europe & Asia. In California, he has been booked at the House Of Blues, the Viper Room, Sweetwater, El Rey Cantina, UnUrban, the Coconut Teaszer, Madame Wong's West, Club 88, Common Grounds, Butler's, the Basement, The Next Stage, Hollywood Palm, Paradise, the Moondog Café, Highland Grounds, Bear's Lair & the Breakaway, to name a few. The extra "G" in his first name is part of his stage name. It is search engine friendly.

The Rustix is a professional back-up band capable of sounding just like the popular recorded versions. Being based in the entertainment capital of the world, sometimes they are the person on the record. Band members have national tour credits with major artists, gold records, accolades from the CMA, and there are even some who may not have the praise or riches they deserve; they are amazing at their craft.

About the band:

Lead guitar duties have been handle by the following players: Robert Heft (Robert Heft Blues Band,) Harry Orlove, Al Bonhomme (Dwight Yoakum,) Val Rael, and Will Ray (the Hellecasters.)

Bass has been slapped by Parallel Parker (Virginia & The Slims,) Maria Weir, Suzanne Birrell, E Zane Wood, Mike Barry (Chris Gaffney,) and Bob Glaub (Jackson Brown, John Lennon, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks & just about everyone else.)

Drums have been the domain of Robbie Rist (Wrong Dots, Cockeyed Ghost, Nice Guy Eddie, Brady Bunch,) Ed Eblen, Leland Harmon, Howard Sall, and Ken Hudgens (Mickey Gilley, Freddy Fender, Moe Bandy.)

Pedal Steel Guitar has been twanged by Robert Heft and Allen Flaa (Caught Red Handed.)

A few song samples have been added to this page; please give them a listen. They are from the forthcoming album, "Vittles For Thought". 'Earnest' is a two-step, played to a reggae beat. Physics & Magic is in the classic country style, featuring the fiddle of Aubrey Richmond. Veroni-kee, Veroni-kai is rockin' and bluesy, set to a Bo Diddley beat. All songs feature the guitar of slide legend Will Ray, Steve Duncan (Desert Rose Band) and session king Bob Glaub on bass.

Ggreg was Ggreat! This was a party for our boss, an 82 year old man who LOVES country music. The band played a nice mix of newer stuff (Alan Jackson, Josh Turner) & older tunes (Johnny Cash, Waylon, Charlie Pride.) Our boss absolutely loved it. He's from a small town in Tennessee & he said it reminded him of listening to the Grand Ol Opry on Saturday nights. I highly recommend Ggreg & the Rustix to anyone who wants a fun country music experience for their event.
