We are a Top 40's Country Cover Band, with some original, some Rock and some alternative rock.
Our Lead vocalist Amanda Wright is a 22 year old Country Music Singer/Songwriter who recently signed with CMG Nashville and a member of the United States Air Force Reserves. She was born to Stephen and Linda Valentine in Clinton Utah, but later moved to her husband Ryan Wright's home town of Chicago. From the time she could talk she has loved to sing and started writing music at a very young age. Her parents tell the story of when she was around two years old, she heard a song on the television and to her parents surprise, was able to pick out the melody on the piano. When Amanda was ten she wrote a song about her friend's mom who had passed away and performed it in a local talent show. She did such an amazing job that she was asked to write her graduating class 6th grade graduation song which the entire 6th grade sang during the ceremony. She entered many contests in her school district throughout grade school, winning various awards and recognition and playing her music in her High School music concerts. She was a member of the Utah's Composer's Guild before she moved and won awards in some of their national contests.

While I love to live a healthy and active lifestyle... My drum set and the gym is what keeps me one of the most positive people in the WORLD!!!!!
Lead Guitar: Dave Becvar was born, raised, and has spent the lion's share of his life in Chicago and the Chicagoland area. Gravitating towards music from a very young age, he sang and 'experimented' with whatever instruments were around--harmonica, bongos, triangle, etc.--before finally beginning proper piano lessons at age 8, and additionally taking up the violin/ viola at age 9. For whatever reason(s), these interests in piano and the violin & viola faded after a while, but at age 13, David thankfully began a long-standing love affair with the guitar, spending countless hours playing over the course of his high school years and beyond. David has also had a long-standing fascinating with recorded sound, having recorded his, ahem, 'first album' at the age of 5. He's come a long way since then, having earned a Certificate of Achievement in Electronic Music Technology from Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, IL, in addition to his other college studies. The interest in recording has been largely an extension of his passion for songwriting, providing a means to fittingly capture his song ideas in suitable & tangible form. Last year, he started up again with piano lessons hoping to sharpen his keyboard skills, and he does still spend much of his time working with a variety of different keyboard instruments. In 2013, David had been writing and recording extensively, but through it all, he hoped to get around to doing a lot more actual live performing. Thankfully, the opportunity to play with Amanda Wright & The Red Dirt Road came about, and he is very grateful and excited to have been welcomed into the band on July 4, 2013!
