Professional Stand Up Comedian/Improv professional/professional Writer/Host/M.C/Motivational Speaker/Youth Inspirational Speaker When you hear the name Thomas Ray Sanders, you probably assume he is just another average guy, but when you hear him called by his popular stage name "Comedian T-Ray" you know his is anything but average! T-Ray Sanders, originally born and raised by his grandmother in High Point, N.C. has always known he was anything, but average. Childhood memories include singing in the church choir & giving the graduation speech for his 5th grade class. He was chosen for both due to his extremely loud voice, which caused him to stand out in any crowd. This over whelming presence is what led him into his current career of acting and comedy. T-Ray performed his first comedy act his senior year of high school. This was the beginning of his love for the stage, known again, for his LOUD voice. The next phase in T-Ray's life consisted of highs & lows. He enrolled in Livingstone College where he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. He was proud of his accomplishments, including graduating from Livingstone and honing in on his career as a comedic performer. Unfortunately, his life took a dramatic turn in 2003. He received news that his mother passed away due to a severe epileptic seizure. Although this was a hard pill for T-Ray to swallow, he turned his grief and pain into motivation. Always known for being a helper, T-Ray vowed to be successful and use his gifts to be a blessing to others, give back to mankind, and someday finding a cure for Sickle Cell Anemia and Epilepsy. Currently, Comedian T-Ray travels the country performing at various venues and comedy clubs. He is also embarking on his acting career, with experience in theater. Comedian T-Ray is one of the most requested comedians in the comedy game. His pep rally style of comedy is sure to entertain you and keep you amused, while also sending out a message of motivation. He has had the honor to work with several well known comedians such as Chris Tucker, Eddie Griffin, Cheryl Underwood, Bill Burr,Amy Schumer, Katt Williams, Arnez J, Gary Owens.
