While co-hosting 40 plus episodes he decided that he is pretty funny and began writing standup comedy. In 2012 Chris went to his first open mic and quickly became entrenched in the comedy scene in Columbus. In his first two to three years he ran several open mics,took part in the 2014 Brew Ha Ha Festival, and was a two time finalist in the Columbus Funny Bone's Funniest Person in Columbus contest in 2012 and 2013. He also produced and hosted several standup showcase shows including a monthly show for Central Ohio NORML, a politics show at Shadowbox, an improvised standup show at the Garden Theater, The Roast ofSuperman at the Garden Theater and had comedy pieces published in 614 Magazine and performed in the Columbus Comedy Festival in 2013 and 2014. During this time he was part of two podcasts the Arch City Podcast and This Is When We Talked:A Doctor Who Podcast. He moved back to Cleveland in 2014 and hit the ground running in a new scene. He won The Funny Stop's Funniest Comedian in Northeast Ohio in 2015. He has performed in The Cleveland Comedy Festival in 2015 and 2016,The Accidental Comedy Festival 2016 and currently runs the popular Ad Hominem Attack Show: A Roast Battle. He has also been back into podcasting more recently with The Ad Hominem Radio Program and has turned some focus to other types of writing and performing with the sketch group The Sad Boy's Social Club.
