Quotes from past clients tell it all:
Quality of service:
"Robert was fabulous! He was very professional and a delight to work with. He played solo the acoustic guitar and it was spectacular sounding!"
"Robert McCloy is an extremely accomplished and professional musician. He is very cordial and professional in all his dealings with me and also very flexible with regard to making last minute requests and changes."
Responsive to requests:
"He also stressed how much he wanted this event to be a reflection of us, so whatever we wanted, he would try and accomplish."
"I had very few special requests and they exceeded expectations on each and every request! Their experience provided a smooth transition during the ceremony and during the cocktail hour with little direction"
"He learned special songs for us and even moved all his equipment outside when the rain broke in order to have the ceremony in nature, as we wanted."
"Robert was great to work with and answered our questions in a timely manner"
"Robert responded quickly to emails, accommodated our requests, and had an excellent repertoire of tunes. He arrived well in advance of the event, and of course the playing was excellent as well!"
"He provided his own equipment and our officiator with a wireless microphone, which was wonderful."
"He even worked with me on a few unusual musical selections for the ceremony, made arrangements and sent me audio clips of them before our day, so that I could could hear them (and they sounded amazing)."
"Mr. McCloy was kind enough to accompany my sister's vocal solo also. He graciously practiced with her before the wedding day"
Music builds lasting memories:
"The compliments are continuing to come back to us two days after the wedding was over. Their professionalism, flexibility and the great expanse of music they can play made it so easy to choose the music we wanted for the evening."

Classical/jazz solo guitar. Also guitar/violin duo, guitar/sax,flute duo, and guitar/violin/sax,flute trio. Extensive experience. Full time musician for over 30 yrs. Additional combos include Celtic and country/bluegrass.
Lansing Michigan area musician Robert McCloy appears as a Classical/Jazz guitar soloist and as a Celtic/Folk fiddler. He has performed at approximately 1,000 corporate events, private parties, and weddings throughout Michigan and the Midwest. Event locations include 235 weddings on Mackinac Island and hundreds in the Metro Detroit area. He now covers the Midwest, range includes all of Michigan, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Chicago and points in between.
Included here is a partial repertoire listing. If your requests are not on my list, that's no concern, I do special requests all the time. Partnering with you to plan the music for your event is something I enjoy. My business motto is "Your Requests are my Business".
In addition to guitar solo, Guitar/Violin Duo; Guitar/Flute,Sax duo, and Guitar/Violin/Flute, sax trio, Celtic duo, and other ensembles are available for all events. Myself, and all musicians I work with are full time professional musicians. It pays to "Go With The Pros".
For outdoor events, make sure to inquire of any musician what amplification they provide. Acoustic instruments disappear outdoors with even a slight breeze. I carry a state of the art battery powered system. For weddings, a microphone is available for the officiant at no extra charge.
I've come to realize that often, music is where people are most likely to cut their budget - but have seen many polls re: what guests remember about an event. They don't remember the food, the flowers, the decor (at the end of the day, that ice sculpture is a puddle). What they DO recall is the quality or lack of quality of the music.
Music provides the soundtrack of our lives. Stop. Think of all the personal memories that you hold that are book marked by a song.
It pays to go with a pro.
Feel free to request demo CD's to hear full samples.
