Alfred James Band Rock Band from Ardmore, PA

Cello Driven Acoustic Rock!!! Alfred James is the only cellist in the world playing a black 5-string carbon fiber cello -- standing up! We will be on tour in Greece & Turkey in June 2007! We have been featured on NPR's All Songs Considered. In November 2006 we were nominated for 2 Underground Grammy's - for Album of the Year and Song of the Year (we came in 4th for Album of the Year out of over 3000 entries in our category!). Alfred recently did a cello track for AMC's trailer for Tom Cruise's The Last Samurai. We've opened for Bruce Hornsby at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, and have performed on NBC's morning show 4 times. In addition we have performed major corporate events at Philly's radio station WXPN, and in colleges all around the country. Alfred has toured all over the world (Europe, Russia, Middle East, Far East) including two command performances at the White House. Of course if you have that one special song that you absolutely must hear (I won't tell you which President did), we would be glad to learn it, if we don't know it already.
