Trio Romantico is the most sensual and heart moving chamber group in the area of Los Angeles. With their beautiful cello, dynamic violin and classical piano, The Trio performs a wide variety of music: from timeless Classical repertoire, to contemporary romantic music, to classic movie and Broadway tunes. The group arranges it's own version of popular pieces and songs, as well as creates its own music. Members' Biographies: - Irina Chirkova - Cellist Born In Bulgaria, Irina Chirkova began learning the cello at the age of five and studied at Sofia Music School from ages six to nineteen. In 1997, Irina traveled overseas for the first time and enrolled at The Boston Conservatory, as a student of Andrew Mark. She received her Bachelor's Degree from The Boston Conservatory in 2000, and earned her Master's Degree in 2002 under the guidance of Rhonda Rider. Irina Chirkova is an active solo and chamber musician. As an electric cello band member, Irina plays standing up in the CCBONNES and MystiQuintet groups, with whom she toured internationally (Dubai, Qatar, Greece), as well as within the US. She has also played with Boston area bands in local venues. Ms. Chirkova has performed at political conferences for Bill Clinton and Mitt Romney and she has played on TV shows such as The Late Show with David Letterman and the Jingle Ball event with Kanye West; BET Awards with P.Diddy, (2010). Up to the fall of 2005, Irina had been a teaching assistant for Rhonda Rider at Wellesley College. Presently, she is a cello faculty at Santa Monica Music Center (Santa Monica), Cornerstone Music Conservatory (Los Angeles), Neighborhood Music School (Downtown Los Angeles), and Opus Music School (Torrance), CA She is a member of: Celine Dion's Orchestra, Las Vegas, Caesar's Palace, 2011-2014 Sully Erna (Godsmack) Solo Band; Mark Salling (Glee) solo band; Rouge Music Group band; ChamberPop band - Jesus Florido - Violinist Born in Venezuela from Italian ancestry and living in the U.S since 1989, Jesús Florido has established himself as a very versatile musician. His training in the classical tradition has given him the perseverance and work ethics that are necessary to succeed in the music world. His teachers have included Eligiuz Stoiñsky, Larry Shapiro, and Davis Brooks. He also received consistent instruction from Joseph Gingold, Margareth Pardee and Dorothy DeLay. In addition to classical violin performance, he also has studied Afro-Cuban, Jazz, Rock, and Fiddle music, which - combined with his Latin American roots - has produced a unique and eclectic vision of music interpretation. In light of his diverse background it is not surprising that his list of musical influences is unusually varied, incorporating composers and performers such as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Grapelli, Hendrix, Ponty, Shankar and Santana. These influences have fueled a passion for musical experimentation and motivated Mr. Florido to utilize both acoustic and electric violins in his recordings and performances. American fiddler Mark O'Connor recognized him when he invited him to teach Latin-style fiddling and improvisation at his camps in Nashville and San Diego. Mr. Florido has appeared on CBS Sunday Morning as part of Mr. O'Connor's line-up of artists. As a classical player he has opted for a chamber music career with very successful results as a recitalist. His concerts in 2000 of the complete Mozart Sonatas are a performance highlight. Sharing his music through teaching is an essential part of Mr. Florido's daily life. As a founding member of the National System of Youth and Children Orchestras in his native Venezuela he started teaching at a very young age. A highly sought after teacher, he has conducted workshops and residencies in Venezuela, Brazil, Spain, Canada, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium and the US. "Music has to be part of every child's development in the world," he states. Mr. Florido's playing can be heard on many commercial recordings. His latest recordings include work with such artists as Nima & Merge, Healer, Dan Hicks and the Hotlicks, Gary Hoey, Voyeur, Delarge, Hattler, and Nicholas Gunn. He has shared the stage with a wide variety of artists from Zubin Metha, Pinchas Zukermann and Itzhak Perlman to Whitney Houston, Moody Blues, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page among many others. With his recent debut solo recording, Heading North, Jesús introduces a compelling artistry balanced on a fine axis of musical virtuosity and pure heart. "This album came about from what is not out there from an instrumental point of view," he explains. "Jazz, rock, classical, Latin -- my album is a true melting pot." With his violin as a compass, Jesús Florido heads toward a limitless musical horizon. - Jordi Caballero - Pianist Jordi is the quintessential renaissance man. Jordi's love for the American way led him to the U.S. to pursue a career in acting and the performing arts. He earned a BFA in acting at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. Caballero has had a career that has lead him to appearing in shows such as "Sex and the city", "C.S.I. Miami", "The Shield", "The Unit", "Human target" and "Justified", among many others. In addition, Jordi has worked with many stars such as Cher and The Spicy Girls, as well as appeared in The Academy Awards and in the very popular show "Dancing with the Stars". He has been nominated twice for the American Choreography Awards. His talent has also appeared in the big screen in films such as "I Witness", which landed him a 2003 nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Method Fest Film Festival in Los Angeles. His first encounter with the arts was at an early age, when his mother inscribed him at the Conservatory of music in Barcelona, Spain, where he studied music and classical piano. As a child, Jordi thought he'd be a pianist but when he saw the TV show "Fame" had an awakening and realized he wanted to be a "triple threat performer". All the arts move Jordi and allow him to express a deep part of himself. Through his work, Jordi wants to become a "bridge" between all kinds of arts and artists. His objective is to create work that shows the richness of both cultures. Jordi loves re-connecting with his roots as well as sharing his love for the US, a country that has given him so much.
