The Shaw Strings String Quartet from West Chester, PA

The Shaw Strings can provide you with a string duo, trio, quartet or harpist for your wedding, cocktail hour, dinner music or non-dancing reception. Our repertoire lists includes classical, classic popular, traditional wedding and current popular music. There is an extra charge for any arrangements not on our 13 page repertoire list. We charge by the event, not by the hour for wedding ceremonies. We arrive 1 hour before the official start time (which is the time the bride is to walk down the aisle and which should also be the time on the invitation.) We start playing as soon as your guests arrive and start sitting down. We continue to play preludes until we get the signal that it is time for the parents to be seated. After they are in place and the groomsmen are up in front with the officiant, we will start playing for your bridal party and then for the bride. During the ceremony we will accompany a singer if you want. When the ceremony ends, we will play the recessional for the bride and groom, bridal party and parents to leave. Then we will change to other music which sill signal the guests that it is time for the guests to move to the cocktail hour. There is an additional charge for the cocktail hour to play but if we play it we will play without a break until your banquet manager tells us that they are sending the guests into the dinner. I will be happy to answer any questions regarding music, etc. We play approximately 200 events a year and will bring that experience to your event.
