With 25 years experience in the field, he has a substantial repertoire and facility in Modern, Inspirational Sacred music, Classical works, World music, and Celtic folk & traditional music. Program Biography: Robert Stuart Mitchell's vocal repertoire and performances encompass Concert Oratorio & Opera, crosses over into World music and Celtic Folk & Traditional music, and expands heavily into Modern Sacred & Worship music. Stuart is a singular crossover vocal artist. On the Classical masterworks and oratorio concert stage, Stuart has appeared as a solo artist with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Bel Canto Chorus, Wisconsin Philharmonic Orchestra, Bach Chamber Choir & Orchestra, MAMCCO (MKE), Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, Racine Symphony Orchestra, and many other high-level artistic groups. Stuart also has shared his gifts in operatic roles and concerts with Florentine Opera, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, La Musica Lirica Opera, Windfall Theatre, Cornerstone University, Music by the Lake, Concord Chamber Orchestra, and South Shore Chorale. Roles have included Fenton from Verdi's Falstaff, Ernesto from Donizetti's Don Pasquale, Ferrando from Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, and Nemorino from Donizetti's L'Elisir D'Amore. As a singer of traditional Celtic vocal music, Stuart has developed and presented new arrangements of a number of traditional favorite Scots-Irish ballads. He and the Celtic folk/traditional ensemble RIRA collaborated creatively to produce and perform these new arrangements, and also produced two complete acoustic Celtic music albums. Stuart is an incomparable worship soloist with substantial repertoire and facility in all forms of Inspirational and Sacred music. He is a sincere and inquisitive mind, a powerful ear, and an exceptional sound. United together, these distinctions make Stuart a compelling presenter.
