Gala Night—Jazz or Classical
Option A: Background Dinner Music
Though people are often engaged in conversation, live background music is always a classy and memorable choice. This is easier done with jazz than classical, though softer songs of the latter can work.
Option B: Two to Three Songs
A nice way to start the night is to offer a little entertainment before the Master of Ceremonies speaks.
Option C: Background and Entertaining Songs
A combo layout consists of Marie-Claire performing softer background music during dinner. After a short break and introduction, she then entertains with two or three more attention-grabbing numbers before the "business" begins.
House Concert—Jazz or Classical
Live entertainment doesn't need to be constricted to public functions. Concerts at home are neat and unique was of getting together with friends and enjoying music in the comfortable and familiar surroundings.
ACCOMPANIMENT: Live or Prerecorded
Live accompaniment is normally chosen for its quality and versatility. Piano is most commonly used, but guitar, string duo/trio/quartet, accordion, organ, band and orchestra accompaniments are also very good options. Live accompaniment is hired separately from the vocalist. If needed, Marie-Claire can make some inquiries among her contacts for quotes.
Prerecorded accompaniment is nice for a lower budget, since it is offered at no extra charge. However, it may be the case that not everything you re quest may be sung with prerecorded accompaniment. Please inquire for details.
