Classically trained and passionate about making music, Brandon Showalter is a lyric tenor whose favorite thing to do in life is sing. Hailing from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Brandon spent his childhood singing in choirs and in musical theater, and "music" was his fourth word. If you ask him, he does not know how to sing except with deep feeling and a yielded heart.
He has performed for the President of Mexico, several of President Obama's Cabinet Secretaries, and former chairman of the Federal Reserve Ben Bernanke. Frequently contracted for weddings, memorial services, and special events in the Washington, DC metro area, Brandon is most often told that he sounds exactly like Josh Groban.
With years of experience both as a parish cantor and as a modern vocalist, Brandon's voice is versatile and he has sung in many different styles and languages (Hebrew, Icelandic, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Korean). Well-traveled and cultured, Brandon has traveled and sung in South Korea, Iceland, Brazil, Guatemala, Spain, England, France, and Israel. Also a pianist, songwriter, and recording artist, Brandon released his debut project in 2014, an extended play entitled Song of Psalms, which includes five original adaptations of selected Psalms (24, 63, 95, 121, 139) set to inspired melodies.
