Joshua Spacht is a pianist, vocalist, composer and orchestrator of music ranging from classical, to pop, to light jazz, New Age, choral and film scores. His interpretations of piano literature can be characterized by polished, clean and emotive playing. As a writer, his eclectic style incorporates MIDI programming and other modern elements against a neo-classical backdrop which creates a sonic palette that's both fresh and timeless. During three decades of public performances, Joshua has perfected the ability to understand your context, help you assess your particular musical needs and elevate your event to a refined level through professional and understated presentations of classical and other appropriate genres for your setting. Born and raised in Erie County Pennsylvania, Joshua moved to Los Angeles after high school where he began his musical studies at The Master's College before receiving additional training under Craig Sheppard at The University of Washington. He went on to earn a Master Certificate in Arranging & Orchestration from Berklee College of Music. He began performing as a soloist when he was five and has since coordinated, planned and participated in hundreds of weddings, concerts, events, corporate gatherings and recitals. Joshua has a particular love for choral music and his pieces and arrangements have been published by Word Music, LifeWay Publishing and Santa Barbara Music Publishing. As a songwriter and multi-media composer, Joshua has partnered with many nationally recognized software developers, filmmakers, advertising agencies and recording artists. In addition to providing light, background music, Joshua is a gifted vocalist who can accompany himself and incorporate pop, jazz, Broadway, standards and classical-crossover songs into your special occasion.
