Veronica Ní Ghrianáin Harpist from New York City, NY

Based in New York City, Veronica has been playing professionally for nearly a decade in NY and abroad. Veronica studied at the Royal School of Music, Molloy College, MSM, with the world renowned pedagogue, Edna Golandsky, Director of the Golandsky Institute in New York City and harp pedagogue Jeanne Fitz-Goldstein. Veronica has performed at Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall and other notable venues such as The Waldorf, The St. Regis and The Plaza Hotels. A diverse performer, who enjoys playing music from many genres, she is sought after for weddings, events and other performances. One of her specialities is playing for weddings, "I believe the perfect music for a wedding will have a mix of classical, Jazz, contemporary and folk music," Veronica says, because she believes that couples are seeking diverse musical choices for their big day. "Some brides want to walk down the aisle to Canon in D and then process out to "All You Need Is Love" by the Beatles. My goal is to ensure they can have a unique set list that will cater to their style." Veronica is also the harpist half of the duo, "August Ceol," a harp and flute duo providing music for all events. Currently, Veronica has been writing her own music, a mixture of folk song writing and solo compositions for her forthcoming EP, expected to be released in 2017. Veronica resides in New York City, where she maintains a full schedule of teaching and performance gigs.
