Joel Aceves Classical Guitarist from Orange, CA

A guitarist since the age of six, Joel Aceves has explored a wide variety of musical styles ranging from cultural popular and jazz fusion to classical genres spanning from Renaissance lute music to modern works by living composers. He is an active performer artist, appearing as a soloist and orchestral soloist in North, Central and South America, and has also appeared on public radio and television programs. His formal studies began at age of twelve at Mexico City, Joel studied on full scholarship in a private academy, later entry the pre-college school at the INBA (Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes), also at UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico) with the studio of maestro Guillermo Diego Monroy. Joel enjoys performing in a variety of settings, from central performances to small classical recitals, he likes also to participate in art centers as business, political and social events, Highlights the Bowers Museum where Joel has been local performer from 2003 to 2016 participating in an endless number of cultural and social events. Joel has performed in auditoriums as Palacio De Las Bellas Artes-Mexico City, Sala Chopin Auditorium- Mexico City, Sala Ollin Yolliztli Auditorium-Mexico City, Government Agencies, Hospitals Events, Museums, such as The Bowers Museum in Santa Ana California, and The MoLAA (Museum of Latin American Art) in Long Beach California among others.
