Jim Falbo is an accomplished and eclectic solo guitarist, instructor, composer, and music arranger from St. Paul who has played for 20 years and entertained many different audiences in various events including weddings, churches, concert halls, mansions, restaurants, wine tastings, among many others. Jim's recordings have been featured on 99.5 Classical MPR and 88.5 Jazz FM radio. Jim is the recent winner of the 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015 Weddingwire Couples' Choice Awards for wedding musician. Jim is also the winner of the best of 2017 Gigmasters award. As an artist in high demand, Jim adds a great level of enjoyment to all in attendance wherever he plays. Jim has received shining reviews while performing in various Classical Guitarathon's and most recently performing in the 2014 Minnesota Guitar Society Classical Guitarathon. Jim works closely with clients to make sure they receive what they are looking for musically on their big day.
He has released four albums with his latest "Guitar Reveries" which combines a unique blend of classical, Latin, Spanish, and contemporary favorites on guitar.
Jim plays a wide selection of music, specializing in Classical/Romantic European and Latin American music (especially Brazilian). Fingerstyle acoustic guitar is also a style he enjoys playing. He also enjoys playing contemporary songs arranged for solo guitar by artists as varied as John Legend, Sara Bareilles, Chrisina Perri, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, and many more. Artists from yesteryear are also in his extensive catalog and are as varied as The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, The Beach Boys, Elton John, and Elvis Presley. Outside of the popular pieces in Jim's repertoire, he plays an extensive amount of pieces that are "hidden gems," and would be favorites if the listener had known they existed.
