Andy Mines is a guitarist based in Brooklyn. Since graduating from the Manhattan School of Music with honors, he performs throughout NYC in many different genres. He has won numerous competitions and studied with Grammy winning artists. Recently he played guitar and drums in the Off-Broadway production of "Lonesome Traveller," sharing the stage with Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, and Mary. In addition to solo performances, Andy has a network of talented singers, string players, and pianists that he performs with frequently, and can cover a wide range of music for any event!

The recital program was comprehensive and varied, showcasing the wide repertoire of classical guitar music. Andy's talent was evident throughout. Several pieces allowed my guests to see and hear the complexity of the classical guitar. Andy shares stories of the composer, or his learning of the piece, or why it is a favorite, which my guests really enjoyed. The commentary made the music approachable. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Would definitely book again.

Andrew Mines did a fantastic job with my party. He arrived on time, looked very professional, and played beautifully. I got several compliments from my guests how great the addition of live music for the cocktail hour was, and many asked for Andrew's card. In addition, he was so nice and fun to talk to. I will definitely hire him for a future event!
