A native of Connecticut, Amanda Sullivan is a versatile musician who has performed throughout New England in a variety of venues ranging from large concert halls to small intimate spaces.
Amanda Sullivan holds a Bachelor's in Music at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut where she studied classical guitar under the tutelage of internationally known pedagogue, Richard Provost. Amanda was the recipient of a significant four-year scholarship to Hartt.
In addition to her formal studies at the Hartt School, Amanda has performed in masterclasses for some of the worlds' most renown classical guitarists including Ana Vidovic, Antigoni Goni, Marcin Dylla, Jason Vieaux, Scott Tennant, Odair Assad, Brasil Guitar Duo, Alan Goldspiel, and William Kanengeiser. She has also attended and performed in many Hartt Classical Guitar Summer Workshops. She has taught at The MusicMakers Academy in Manchester, CT and The Renbrook School in West Hartford, CT.
Amanda plays classical and steel string guitar in the Celtic trio: Celticity and in the alternative folk trio, The BeeKeepers(thebeekeepers.band) she sings, plays steel string guitar, and the Merlin ( a dulcimer-guitar hybrid).
