Junior Wilson - Vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, 5 string banjo, fiddle, mandolin, steel guitars, keyboards and backing tracks creation. Chad Cooper (Chatty) - Vocals, congas, bongos and various other percussion instruments. Junior and Chatty is an energetic, multi-instrumental duo performing popular rock music from the past along with soul, blues, country, bluegrass, jazz and a little Irish and Latin. Chatty and I have both spent much of our lives performing in excellent bands and we bring our experience to this act. It is our opinion that many small ensembles tend to involve a more minimal approach to both the performance and production. Every gig is a show to us. We play quite a few different instruments on stage to provide a bigger variety of live sounds during our performances. For the majority of tunes we also use backing tracks which I create in my studio. The overall result is a small act with the sound of a polished band. I have spent hundreds of hours creating backing tracks over the years. Attention to detail results in a natural band feel seamlessly adding support to our live playing and singing. As a small act, which can control overall levels more easily, we can perform in some situations that would be quite difficult for many ensembles, while still sounding full. On the other hand we can handle rather large events too. We regularly play for private parties, deck bars, banquet halls, night clubs, park concerts and large annual events. We have a modular sound system, ample stage lighting and when needed tents. Junior Wilson - My life in music started at around 5 1/2 years old, first on the lap steel guitar and then moving on to various other stringed instruments and keyboards. My parents both played music and I played in ensembles early on. My family started a full time music business in the early 60s in Milford, DE. The store became a musical crossroads and also a host to regular jam sessions involving a variety of interesting and different players. I spent my early teens playing in rock bands and also jamming with jazz, bluegrass and country players. Around 1973 I went to NYC to do a session which later connected me with a singer writer named Stu Nunnery. We did memorable shows with Gordon Lightfoot, Al Stewart and others. It was a great experience. After that ended I continued to play in many regional bands around Delmarva and helped with our family's music business. In the late 70s I started a recording studio business which did demos, records and also created over 178 radio jingles. From that studio our band "The Movies" released a 45 record in 1983 featuring a couple of songs I had written. The A side was called "Photograph" and it sold a few thousand copies, also getting some airplay in the mid west. In the early 80s I also got involved in MIDI technology and started working with MIDI and computers. By the mid 80s I formed a synth pop dance band called "Fun With Joan". It was a great platform to refine the use of MIDI technology. Later in 1996 I utilized my knowledge of music and MIDI technology to put the backing tracks together for my one man band solo act. Chatty and I had known each other since the late 60s but we had never been in a situation where we performed together. In 2010 he joined our band "The Movies" and a couple of years later I asked him to come out to my solo gig one night and sit in for fun. It was a blast and we have been doing the duo ever since. Chad "Chatty" Cooper - Growing up in Dover, DE Chatty started his life of music in the mid 60s. Within a year or so he had been in several popular Dover area bands including "Scuzzy Frog" and "Shaky Jake". Often those bands would open for national acts like "Rare Earth". Chatty has also played behind some legends like B.B. King. In the early seventies he moved to Norfolk, VA and helped create a band called "Polyphony". The group soon released a critically acclaimed progressive-rock album nationally. After that he performed with "Bill Deal and the Rhondells" horn band for 7 years on the road doing beach music all over the south. Later he became a human resources manager at United Airways in Washington, DC for the next 20 years, from which he is now retired. During his years in D.C. he was still playing as often as possible in between his schedule. Chatty is an energetic player with fine technique and is a lot of fun. And he always brings along an assortment of interesting percussion instruments.
