The Park Project is a harmony driven group of three talented, versatile, experienced singers/musicians who perform music inspired by early roots rock, R&B of the 50's and 60's, and classic rock and soul of the 70's, 80's and beyond.
The group met & evolved through countless loosely knit Sunday afternoon jams at New York's famed Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village and is celebrating the beginning of it's 6th year together. During the warm months The Park Project can still be found at Washington Square Park entertaining as a group &/or joining fellow singers & musicians to entertain the tourists & locals.
The Park Project (based in New York City) is available for public performances, private parties and various other bookings.
For over 6 years The Park Project has been performing at various events and venues such as The South Street Seaport, Music Under New York (NYCMTA), Shades of Green, The Baggot Inn, The Village Lantern, Gizzies West Village, The Limerick House, The Tippler, The Red Lion & Wicked Willys in New York City....to The Inn at New Hyde Park, The Courtyard by Marriott (LaGuardia) and The Mastic Beach Yacht Club in Long Island. We are also proud to announce the release of our new studio recorded CD "The Park Project" which features 16 tracks.
Skip Mitchell: Vocals-
A veteran of Doo-Wop, Soul & Blues music, Skip sang with "The All City Choir" (NYC) and performed at such prestigious venues as "The Apollo Theater" and "The Village Gate". He is also a songwriter and has recorded one full-length CD.
Dan Rivera: Vocals/Recorder/Percussion-
A seasoned vocalist of Doo-Wop, Folk & Rock music, Dan has been featured as a backing vocalist since the age of 13, performing on 18 CD's by various artists. He is an audio engineer & producer and has performed at numerous NY venues.
Ali Zaenal Abidin: Vocals/Guitar/Percussion-
Ali is a young, talented musician/songwriter from Indonesia. Ali has performed with various groups in NYC as lead & backing vocalist, guitar player and percussionist. Ali has recorded one full-length CD.
