DIckens Handchime Choir Christmas Caroler from Garden Grove, CA

The Dickens Handchime Choir is composed of home school students (K – 12th grades) from the HOPE Music Program in Garden Grove, CA. They are dressed in traditional “dickens” attire. The handchimes that the children play are square tubes with external clappers. These instruments are similar to handbells, but are lighter in weight & easier to play. (And also a lot cheaper to purchase) This group has performed at many venues during the nine years of their existence: Sunday morning worship services for local churches, Huntington Library & Gardens annual Christmas Event, 'Prince of Peace Pageant' in Long Beach, County Republican Federated Women's Christmas luncheons (Riverside, Orange & L.A.), the Crystal Cathedral Sunday evening services and the Disneyland Community Arts Showcase. Nineteen of these students performed this past summer in Dallas, Texas as part of a showcase for the National Handbell Convention. They were the only group of children invited to play for this four day event among handbell/handchime musicians from all over American.
