Wedding ReceptionReviewed on August 26, 2013From Oakland, CA

For my wedding ceremony I had always wanted to have a live band play. Being that I wanted to honor my Irish roots, and appease my grandmother, I decided that a celtic band would be the best kind of music for me. I was delighted to find Plaid Menagerie and to work with Nan. She is wonderfully kind and very easy to work with. We emailed back and forth, and I always found that Nan was very prompt- and when I wasn't, she was very understanding for my delays. I sent her some songs that I liked, to give her an idea as to the kinds of music I was thinking for the ceremony, and the choices she made for the band to play where spot on. I more than highly recommend this band.

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on May 27, 2013From Sonoma, CA

Plaid Menagerie was an absolutely perfect addition to our wedding reception! Nanette was very accommodating and happy to work with us to play the kind of music we wanted. They got the crowd up and dancing, which lasted far past the time that the band left. They were fantastic! Pam Burke

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on May 4, 2012From Bath, MI

Plaid Menagerie made our wedding so meaningful and enjoyable! All of our guests have contacted us to tell us how special the music was and how truly beautiful it made our wedding! We went on our first date to a Highland Festival and the Celtic atmosphere created by Plaid Menagerie was truly awesome and meaningful to us both! Everyone was moved by bagpipes playing "Scotland the Brave" for the processional. I was especially moved by the fact that they learned "In my Life", to play before the ceremony started. My family is a bunch of Beatles fans and we all thought it was great! Besides being truly talented, Plaid Menagerie are professional and really nice people!

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on March 21, 2012From Cadillac, MI

No complaints; very good performance for our wedding ceilidh, very accommodating. Nanette & band kept us up to speed with their preparations, asked us lots of questions, found us a dance caller, played fitting and fun music for all components of our reception--helped make it a wonderful experience at a very good price. Would recommend them to anyone looking to hire a small group for Celtic music & dancing.

Community EventReviewed on May 9, 2013From Antioch, CA

It was a pleasure dealing with Nanette and Plaid Menagerie. Their music saved the day when another part of our event plans fell through. They adapted to some unusual venue conditions and provided an entertaining show. Their performance provided a perfect musical backdrop to our community picnic. We would definitely hire them again!

WeddingReviewed on June 23, 2014From Half Moon Bay, CA

We hired Plaid Menagerie to play music for our wedding ceremony (processional/recessional) and for our reception dancing (ceilidh). Nanette was wonderful to work with! She met us at our wedding venue a few weeks prior to the event in order to get a feel for the layout and did not charge us for her time and travel. She made great suggestions for songs to play during our ceremony, and accommodated our request for a bagpiper to join their group. They closely followed the timeline we gave them, and were extremely professional. Everyone at the wedding had a great time and can't stop talking about how fun it was to participate in the ceilidh!
