I may be new to GigMasters but I have performed at hundreds of events and parties in the New York metro area for over 20 years. I have been hired to sketch at many notable venues including Gracie Mansion, the Flushing Meadows US Open, and at Sardi's in Manhattan as their premier entertainment caricaturist. My work has appeared on ABC TV's "Live with Regis and Kathy Lee," Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," and I'll be appearing (with my caricature work) in an upcoming episode of National Geographic's Emmy-nominated TV show "Brain Games." I combine deft drawing skills at a cartoonist's speed to achieve the right balance between playful interpretation and a keen likeness. My work is particularly ideal for events that cater to adults: corporate events, office parties, retail promotions, social club gatherings, award ceremonies, and trade shows. My caricatures are always a delight for the younger guests, too, so I am an excellent match for your child's party, too. My caricatures are sketched on premium heavy-weight 11x14" art paper and then placed in flat crystal clear water-proof acetate enclosures. Each person is sketched in approximately 7 minutes in color and in approximately 5 minutes in black & white. My art materials are fume-free, dust-fee, and non-toxic. I sketch on a compact metal easel and bring battery-powered lamps for lighting so my setup needs at the venue are flexible and require minimal space. You can also choose to have a color border with custom text customized to your occasion preprinted on my paper. For example, a new client requested that I have "Skyler's 6th Birthday - September 20, 2014" preprinted near the bottom of my art paper. I am fully insured and available for events in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. I am also available for larger bookings that are beyond the New York Metro area. All of my work examples shown here are the actual caricatures I sketched live at parties and events.
