Earth & Sound-THE PATHS OF MUSIC Many roads can lead a Reggae Group to their calling, and Earth & Sound have travelled an unusual path. Born in Jamaica, Errol "Cornerstone" Phillips and Norman "Doc Holiday" Reid were raised in the Parish of St Thomas, in the small district of Mount Felix. Singing hymns and church music from their childhood, they never came into contact with the real world of Reggae music until they graduated from school. Errol Phillips started out his career as a singer while attending Primary School by entering and winning a gold medal in the schools Festival competition. He also appeared and performed at the Ward Theatre, and several other entertainment venues across the Island. Norman Reid AKA Doc Holiday also saw the opportunity and followed in his friend's foot-steps by trodding the same journey. Errol however soon migrated to the United States, and it would be ten years later that Norman also migrated joining forces with him again in NY. This time they decided to team up musically, and formed the group Earth and Sound. The group recorded their first single "Valley Sound" in Valley Stream Long Island, NY with producer Paul "Computer Paul" Henton also living in NY at the time. This single opened many opportunities for them to perform across the United States and the Caribbean. The group however took a few years hiatus from performing to focus on family and also writing material for their debut album titled "69 Featherbed Lane". This title was significantly derived from the street address where the group had its first rehearsal space in a small Jamaican bar/social club called Mt Felix Lounge in the Bronx, NY. This debut album produced exclusively by veteran, multi award winning musician/ producer Paul "Computer Paul" Henton has been years in the making, and is a true reflection of Earth and Sound's humble, ruraI St Thomas, Jamaican roots. Listening to this album will no doubt evoke an awareness of social consciousness along with a taste of simple everyday country life. The album "69 Featherbed Lane" is a musical journey with a mission to glorify Jah, and uplift mankind by spreading love, peace and unity. Earth & Sound currently reside in the United States (Rastafari culture) and hope that their music can be used to reach people and touch hearts everywhere. Check out for this refreshing and positive album released Feb 14, 2019 on iTunes and all online music outlets. Selah…….
