Matthew M. Ryder has been performing as a leading man in amateur and professional musical theatre productions for 20 years. He has also performed in numerous Cabaret shows and benefit performances in Maine, New Hampshire, Florida and NYC. He currently sings at the Boothbay Harbor Inn with an outstanding soprano and can perform as a soloist or with this outstanding soprano. Favorite Musical Theatre roles include Tony in Westside Story, Jesus in Godspell, Curly in Oklahoma, Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jean-Michelle in La Cage aux Folles, Leading Player in Pippin, Tinman in The Wizard of Oz, Prince Charming in Cinderella, and Billy in Anything Goes. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Southern Maine where he also studied voice in addition to his acting concentration. Beyond being a performing Artist, he has been directing Children's, High School, and Community Theatre for 17 years. He also works on occasion as an actor and model in local and regional television commercials and print ads. Matthew lives outside Portland, Maine with his 14 year old daughter Brenna.
