FULL BAND AND DANCER: "Raq the Casbah: A World Cabaret!" is an ensemble of live musicians, singer, and BELLYDANCER Leyla. We can perform both ALL Arabic & Mediterranean shows with all live music, song and belly dance, OR choose our cabaret/variety show which includes songs from literally around the globe: Polish polkas, songs in French, from Germany, Spanish, Irish, Portuguese, Russian, Africa, etc. (Our band in fact includes members direct from Senegal, Russia, Palestine and Greece!) Our show is fun, festive, family-friendly and interactive: we include socials (or "toasts") from around the world, and call and response songs for the audience to join us in. We have received rave reviews from the many organizations and venues who hire us to perform regularly, including The Toledo Museum of Art, The Taste of the Nation Organization, ProMedica Corp., The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, The Toledo Zoo, Manos, Peridino's and Treo Restaurants, among many others-- including various festivals, private parties, receptions and corporate events.
