Big Apple Brass (Brass Band & Marching Band) Brass Band from Brooklyn, NY

We are a brass band composed of experienced musicians with a unique sound. We bring life to second line in New York City. With the ability to both read and write music, we can help you curate the perfect experience. Additionally, our brass band is just a piece of our traditional, HBCU-style marching band made up of upper and lower brass, percussion, majorette dance, and flag corps. Our band is not a piecemeal project that is assembled to accommodate requests, we are advanced musicians from the BIPOC community that rehearse together weekly, and perform in and around our community as part of Big Apple Leadership Academy for the Arts, or BALAA, a community-based organization (nonprofit) located in Brooklyn, NY. We play old school and new school music including jazz, hip hop, and R&B. We march in parades, perform for private events, perform for community events, and bring a unique form of entertainment that you'll absolutely love.
