He showed up an hour late to our event. Our event started at 7 and we asked him to get there at 6:30 and he showed up at 7:30. We asked him to stay longer and he did, but he stopped playing towards the end and just had his partner continue playing guitar. I asked him if he was done and he said “I’m just looking for a new song to play” but then never played another song. We were not fully satisfied with this booking.

Unfortunately Mel arrived late to the event and was not ready setting up by the time the event started. Then he had some computer issues so stopped playing for 20 min to go to his car to grab his iPad.
Mel is however a talented artist and was very sweet but there were to many issues for it to be enjoyable for what I paid.

CORRECTION! Was not late. In 65 years of performing have never been late to a gig (ie., military, government, private businesses, etc) all over the world. Unfortunately there was an equipment failure that caused performance to start 15 minutes after start time. Before any engagement I always tell customers instruct me on their proceedings.

Mel was fantastic! We wanted loungy jazz with some sax, and he even played the harmonica. 180 people at our art opening and everyone loved him. He interacted with them when questioned about his talents and people sat and listened, and stayed awhile. He was very attentive to our agenda, the flow of our event, and played when needed. Thanks Mel!
