The Jay Blue's Bands inception began in 2008. They are based out of South Florida and composed of individuals with various musical and life-long influential backgrounds.
Jay Blue is the bands lead guitar player and lead vocalist. He resides in south Florida, by way of California. Jay's musical influences are deep-seated in multiple genres such as Jonny Lang, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Luther Allison, Stevie Wonder, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, along with James Taylor, Vince Vaughn, Kirk Franklin, and Toby Keith. Jay's voice is original, and charismatic.
The band is taking the state of Florida by storm and has played multiple venues in south Florida. References of the many venues in South Florida include: The Bar, Gordon Biersch, Miami Music Festival, Stage 84, Starbucks Coffee shops, Rosy Baby's, Vintage Music Hall, Jazid on South Beach, Titanic Brewery, Sheeba's, Tobacco Road, John Martin's Irish Pub, and The Aroma Coffee bar.
The bands set list covers a wide range of original music as well as different artist covers: "Thrill Has Gone", "Leave My Little Girl Alone", "Serve Somebody", "Bad Love", "Cherry Red Wine", "Midnight Train", "Ain't No Sunshine", "Old Love". Smokin' original music such as "One Day", "Lost", "Do You Believe in That", and "Don't Turn Around" are part of Jay Blues Band's lists. Other songs played include rock and roll, contemporary, from Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, and many other artists. All play list requests are considered.
Future plans for Jay Blues Band include writing and collaborating on songs regarding the Blues-full artwork of struggling African-American Artists, along with recording their original music, an album is currently in the works! Jay Blues Band plays many venues including art festivals, music festivals, venues, parties, weddings, special events along with opening and featured band bookings.
