Gil Snyder, original member of the Iron City Houserockers, has enjoyed a 4 record contract with MCA in the 80's and 90's. He has been on stage or in the studio with Bruce Springsteen, Mick Ronson, Ian Hunter, Steve Cropper, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Miami Steve Van Zandt. Gil Snyder and the Mystic Knights have opened for countless acts including Buddy Guy, James Cotton, John Hammond and Johnny Winter. The Mystic Knights have been voted, repeatedly, as the best blues band in Pittsburgh and in keeping with the success of the City of Champions, the Knights have performed at PNC Park and Heinz Field rallying the Steeler and Pirate fans. Gil will be accompanying Tim Woods, voted #1 reader's choice in Blues Review Magazine, at Morgan Freeman's Ground Zero Club in Clalrksdale, Mississippi on Aug. 11. The Mystic Knights style is reminiscent of the swampy Mississippi Delta and electric Chicago blues while remaining true to their Steel City, Appalachian Trail working man's blues.
