Big Mo & The Full Moon Band is an exciting 9 pc band with a full horn section, keys, pedal steel , bass and drums. Big Mo writes all of the music . The music is a mix of Blues,Funk and all around fun music with a hint of Country Southern Rock mixed in. Big Mo is a multiple award winning act that has shared stages with James Brown,Ruth Brown,Ray Manzarek from the Doors, Norton Buffalo, Billy Preston and many more. Positive music and messages are what the band thrives on and that always translates to a happy dancing crowd. It is very refreshing to hear new music with a familiar sound.

In the early 1980s Big Mo Maurice Huffman toured for years in Germany playing original blues and southern rock music, often entertaining homesick US G.I.'s.
In 1988 Big Mo moved from Germany to Northern California, after meeting and marrying his American wife, Robin.
He started a business in Paradise California and after getting his feet wet in a new country and living the American life started getting a band together.
In 2004 Patrick Hilton, a very talented trumpet player joined the band. He played in the U.S. Navy Band for 20 years and brings with him lots of experience and adds greatly to the band's sound. At the same time Eric Weber on saxophone joined the band. A very talented young horn player that brings lots of excitement and energy to the group. This new born section made a positive change to the sound of Big Mo and added a roundness that further sophisticates the overall experience. For shows in USA Big Mo is currently enjoying the sounds of Steve Valine a very talented pedal steel player who has joined the band. He adds a great dimension which Mo really enjoys. The band plays a variety of all original music from straight forward blues to Southern Rock soulful ballads and funky grooves. Jeff Rosso on bass(former bass man for Charlie Musslewhite) and David Breed on the drums are the rythym section. A very energetic and talented rythym section! Big Mo & The Full Moon band have now won the Cammie award for best blues band 4 years in a row 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 and 2012.The newest members are Josh hegg on keyboard and Ben Sallman on Trombone and Don Bowman on saxaphone and flute.. They have turned our horn section into a 4 pc now called "The Freight Train" you will see why :-)
