Safire Sun Bluegrass Band from Fredericktown, OH

Safire Sun has their own unique sound. This band has spent a lot of time writing their own original songs to place on their debut CD “Safire Sun” This well-rooted band has young, raw new talent, as well as several seasoned professionals that have toured across the United States. Darell Sanson is featured on mandolin and sings lead, tenor and baritone. His driving attack and uncanny style of mandolin playing will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Darell has played with The Country Gentlemen, Jimmy Martin and The Bluegrass Alliance. Marty Townsend is featured on the banjo and has played with such groups as Lawrence Lane, The Marshall Family, The Challengers, The Heehaw Road Show and The Bluegrass Alliance. Yvonne Sanson plays rhythm guitar and sings lead and harmony vocals. She was a co-writer for the 911 song “America Will Always Stand” by Randy Travis. Allie Dible possesses an angelical voice that captures people's attention when they hear her sing. Audiences can't help but fall in love with Allie and her voice. With versatility and natural ability to sing any vocal part. Darell Sanson, Yvonne Sanson and Allie Dible are known for their tight harmony vocals. When the 3 perform, they seem to wrap listeners up in emotion and captivate them. Ethan Whitehair, is 9 years old and everywhere that Safire Sun performs, this little fella is guaranteed to win over a crowd, especially when he performs “Little Man”, one of the songs on the CD. He also sings Rocky Top, Thank God I'm A Country Boy and many more. Brittney Hickey, Darell's youngest daughter is a fabulous bass player and has played bass and guitar most of her life. Safire Sun has played bluegrass festivals, fairs, weddings. They will be a crowd pleaser for your event. (On June 26th, 2010 4 members (Darell, Yvonne, Allie & Brittney) went under the name of ESCHALAN and competed in the 2010 Colgate Country Showdown in Zanesville, Ohio and won. They now continue onto the state of Ohio competition Sept. 6th, 2010.
