Her repertoire includes traditional Egyptian Raks Sharki (oriental dance), Turkish and Middle Eastern folklore dances as well as fusion styles. Especially her unique performance with Kimono style costume to dance with the Japanese music amuses the audience. She use such props as LTD sparkly wings, veil, fan veil, zills, cane to meet clients' demands. She can also arrange a group performance as well as live music with additional fees. Nahoko began her study in Middle Eastern dance in Tokyo, Japan, where she became quickly one of the most sought after professional oriental dancers.
The passion of this beautiful dance form led Nahoko to New York City to pursue her career with more in depth training from such great master teachers as well as more in performance experiences with NY top class musicians. Her move to NYC afforded her opportunities to perform regularly as a professional soloist in Middle Eastern restaurants, night clubs and special events. She has also performed on theatres including Lincoln Center, Kaye Playhouse in Hunter College, Westminster Arts Center, Hudson Guild Theater, Merce Cunningham Theater, Reinhardt College Floyd A. and Fay W. Falany Performing Arts Center to name but a few.
Nahoko is known her passionate and dynamic stage work, graceful movements and beautiful lines as her signature style. She not only attracts audience to bring them unforgettable moments with her presence and brightness on the stage but inspires accompanying musicians with her artistic expression and natural musicality. She collaborates a wide range of musicians from Arabic to Japanese to keep exploring possibilities and artistries of the oriental dance.
In addition, Nahoko studies other dance forms, including ballet and modern dance.
Since 2010, Nahoko is regularly invited to have workshops and shows in Japan sharing her unique style acquired in her beloved city, New York and Cairo.
