Below is what Kathy Nichols had to say about Dimitra's dancing at the ARTBEAT IN THE SPRING event, May, 2012.
Spring 2012 Artbeat: A Review by Kathy Nichols...."Closing out the night was belly dancer Dimitra who floated across the floor barefoot and in a traditional bellydance top, skirt, and veil. Her use of zills (finger cymbals) complimented the music coming from the bellydance coins attached to her ornate costume as she flowed across the performance area, shifting her hips in time with the music."
Here's an excerpt from what CP Peppas, a freelance journalist, wrote about Dimitra in an online article named, "Dimitra gives a history lesson with every dance."
"There is Cher.
Celebrities whose first name is all you need to know.
In the world of belly dancing in the greater Milwaukee and Chicago areas, there is Dimitra.
Dimitra is in the pantheon in her particular art form because she is just that good.
It's also easier to fit on a marquee than Dimitra Anderson.
If you haven't seen Dimitra perform yet, you are in for a real treat.
....She gives a little history lesson with every dance, including country of origin like her native Greece, Egypt, Morocco, India and the Far East...."
