KB and the Riptides named BEST SURF ROCK BAND in Cleveland 2009 (Cleveland Scene Magazine) Meet KB and the Riptides.. KB, Dave and Scotty V. "the torch bearers of vintage surf music and the definers of new hyper-surf .. they do it all" KB and the Riptides are an award winning professional musical group, family friendly, and well respected in the music community. They perform remake covers of great summertime twist, beach and surf rock classics and/or ORIGINAL selections depending on the venue and the listeners. If the setting on stage is dark, they utilize a spectacular light display that incorporates fog and club laser lighting with their music and often they are joined on stage by the beautifully exotic and fabulously colorful Belly Dance Bombshells. Along with showcasing at the local hot spots, KB and the Riptides have performed at many prestigious venues and functions including The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Guitar Mania, Ingenuity Festival, The Taste of Cleveland, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Cleveland outdoor lunch time concert series and various car show cruise-in’s. They have also procured their musical skills to benefit the United Way, MDA, MS, Guiding Eyes and Waiting Child just to name a few. You can see they have strong roots in their local community.
