Back In Time Beach Band from Atlanta, GA

Back In Time was formed in the summer of 2009 to be one of the best "horn" bands around featuring the best of beach and soul and rock 'n roll. The core of the band came from veterans of the 1960's and 1970's rock 'n roll scene from around Athens and Northeast Georgia. The Axemen, Axe, the Athens Rogues and Cloud Nine helped form the nucleus of Back In Time. With the influx of a young talented lead singer and two trumpets, a saxophone and trombone, Back In Time was born. Taking songs from the original artists of the 60's, 70's and beyond, the band put together arrangements that were genuine to the original recordings. Arrangements by nationally known arranger Tom Wallace (and arranger for UGA Redcoat Band) accent the talents of the band. Band members include Jonathan "JJ" Jackson, lead singer, guitar (a.k.a. "Singing Deputy," featured on TV and Newspapers); Bob Cowles, all saxes, winds; Tom Wallace, trumpet, Flugelhorn; Michael Crook, lead trumpet, aux. percussion; Rory Crook, trombone, French horn, aux. percussion; Mercer Crook, keyboards, aux. percussion, vocals; Glenn Brown, guitar, vocals; John Harriman, bass, vocals; Chuck McKissick, drums, aux. percussion, vocals. Back In Time has been a favorite and repeated performing group at Lake Lanier Islands, Gainesville Arts Council Summer Series, University of Georgia Special Events, many Northeast Georgia cities premier performing group for special events, ...and many corporate parties, wedding receptions, and special occasion performances and parties.
