Family ReunionReviewed on August 21, 2018From Phoenix, AZ

We thoroughly enjoyed the piping by Pipe Major Leonard Wood. It was a perfect touch for our family reunion. We got some great family pictures with him that topped the entire evening!

The MacGregor family was without a doubt some of the finest people I have worked with. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the young people courteous. I wore my MacGregor kilt and they made me feel like family. Thanks once again for inviting me to play your reunion.

Thank you for the kind marks. I thoroughly enjoyed playing for this gig. Fr. Pat, the guest of honor, was pleased with all that the congregation did for him at the gig and I found a very warm reception by all attending.

He was great ! He made our Christmas Eve so special! Besides his amazing pipe playing he was a joy to have at our home and explained how his instrument worked to all the kids . Such a special event ! Thank you Len!

PicnicReviewed on January 29, 2015From Scottsdale, AZ

Pipe Master Len Wood arrived as a surprise for our group. The group was so delighted they honored him with a standing O upon his arrival in the middle of the 1st number! He was wonderful w/all of us. As part of his performance, he led us through the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park playing the pipes the entire time which brought the Park & its visitors to a standstill when we came through with people running up & asking "What kind of event is this?" Everyone in the Park, which was packed on a Saturday, stopped what they were doing & took video and snapshots & they were in complete AWE of the experience, as was our group. We can't wait to do it again in 2015!

WeddingReviewed on October 29, 2014From Phoenix, AZ

Leonard's performance was absolutely amazing! He was able to learn and play a song that I requested. His professionalism was outstanding and he matched he attire to our event as well. Our guests were thrilled when they saw we had a bag piper playing our wedding, and his sound made our event that much more unique and special. Would highly recommend!

Mr. Wood was very good, but there was some confusion as to the amount of time he was to play. This website quoted me for 15 minutes and Mr. Wood and I did not discuss this. I assumed that he knew what price and time was quoted on your website. Just a misunderstanding and I would recommend him to play for any event wanting a bagpiper.

I am somewhat taken aback by the client's comments. My fees are based on an hour and I would have played as long as was wanted. I was hired to surprise the bride and groom and they were genuinely surprised. I continued to play after the bridal party left for photographs. Guests were leaving the church and I asked the church rep. if she thought that was enough and she said yes. Frankly, I don't recall a time limit set on my performance and if I didn't play for "15" minutes, it wasn't far from that. Honestly, I do not deserve those scores and if the client wishes, I will refund the fee.
