National and International touring and recording artist and songwriter with a career spanning 40 years, Roger "Hurricane" Wilson is versatile from the standpoint of performing solo as an acoustic singer/ songwriter, as well as an acoustic Americana, Roots, and Blues musician, which is ideal from nursing homes to house concerts... from coffee houses to the largest festival stages. He also performs with a 3 piece electric Blues-Rock trio, The Roger "Hurricane" Wilson Band, depending on your desired audience and situation. Another available outlet is that of conducting guitar workshops and Blues In The Schools programs, offering guitar instruction and demonstrations into the actual origins of American music. Logging over a million miles in his career, he has opened shows for an endless number of acts including B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Derek Trucks, John Mayall, & Dickie Betts, just to name a few. Over the years, he has jammed with many greats including Jorma Kaukonen, Les Paul, Charlie Musselwhite, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Savoy Brown, Hubert Sumlin, and has just released his 12th CD in 2012 on his Bluestorm Records label from a duo tour with the late Grammy winner and longtime Muddy Waters band member, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith.
