Comedy Central’s Roasts of Charlie Sheen and other famous celebrities have always been popular and entertaining programs that many tune in to see. GigMasters’ client Volitta loved the idea of a roast to celebrate her friend Robert’s 60th birthday, so she created her own!

Friends and family of Robert’s gathered at his home for goofy celebration. A karaoke DJ was hired to play music throughout the evening with breaks in between for the different roasters to make their tributes. The house was decorated with Christmas lights and the tables were set with plates, silverware, and napkins with the theme “Over the Hill.”

Robert’s kids made a poster in the shape of the number 60 with photos from over the years. The guests really enjoyed the poster, especially since many of them were able to find themselves in some of the photos! Volitta also made a banner with a funny photo of the birthday boy which read, “ROBERT – I said you’re 60 not SEXY!”

Volitta also arranged for another fun treat for Robert and the rest of the party guests. Robert had never seen a real belly dancer, so Volitta hired one to entertain the guest of honor. She booked GigMasters’ member Katya Faris (Indianapolis, Indiana) for the job and praised Katya, saying that she was great to work with and did an awesome job!

Katya told us that she always speaks with the client extensively before a gig to ensure the event goes exactly the way the client would envisioned. Volitta came up with the idea to put Bob on the spot, without embarrassing him too much. With that in mind, Katya chose a modern rendition of a belly dance version of “Dance of the 7 Veils ” to perform. Three veils were wrapped around Katya while she used two to execute a double veil technique that the guests loved. After the dance, she wrapped Robert in the veils which everyone thought was hilarious and Robert seemed to enjoy it as well! Robert, friends, and family had a great time at this humorous birthday celebration! It was truly a birthday he will never forget.
