Imagine showing up to work and seeing Jon Hamm, Kevin Jonas, Jared Leto and Olivia Wilde. Well, if you were GigMasters' member N8+ Jazz Band, you wouldn't have to just imagine. Through GigMasters, Nate and his band were asked to perform not once, but twice at the annual pre-Oscar Hollywood Domino Gala. On February 27, celebrities gathered for the 4th year in a row to partake in exciting games, eat delicious food and listen to the wonderful sounds of Nate and others.
The charitable Hollywood Domino event brings together well-known faces for a fun, tournament-style domino game night! Even more remarkable is that proceeds help support Artists For Peace And Justice . The foundation, which was created by award-winning filmmaker Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby), funds educational and healthcare programs to communities and children in Haiti. This year, the event raised over half a million dollars towards the outstanding cause.
Nate was kind enough to share the details on his star studded Tinseltown gig. Read on to hear about them!

There was no shortage of famous faces at this pre-Oscars affair. The red carpet was dotted with celebs like Kate Beckinsale (top right), Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler (top left). Nate tells us that the atmosphere was classy, yet vibrant and fun. In fact, this was probably the only place you'd ever see singer Joe Jonas playing dominos with Mad Men star Jon Hamm (bottom left).
Not only did the A-listers participate in the games and watch the performances: some even put on a show themselves! In addition to the N8+ Jazz band performance, attendees were serenaded by Rumer Willis (pictured bottom right), daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Nate was responsible for getting some of the other guests up on stage, starting with actor Adan Canto who romantically sang his wife their wedding song. Next was event sponsor Pascal Raffy, who earned a round of applause for his rendition of "My Way."
Nate credits his band's diverse repetoire for allowing them to engage the crowd with spontaneous performances. The band, which consisted of a piano, upright bass, saxophone and drums, was highly complimented by guests and sponsors alike. We have no doubt that they'll be asked to return for the third year in a row! A special thanks to Nate for sharing his experiences with us. Don't forget to check out his band's profile (and their 5 star review from this event!) here.
