Joseph Ashley One Man Band from Nassau, NY

My name is Joseph Ashley (Joe), and I thank you for visiting my gigmasters page. I am a chromatic harmonica soloist; the sound of my harmonica is somewhat different due to a vocal vibrato; I also include an accompaniment with chords on a keyboard. Music is my passion and I can't wait to share more about it with you! Began at age five, learned harmonica by ear. Studied music theory at the Chicago City College and harmonica at the Turtle Bay Music School in New York City; also studied in a music advisory with a violinist and two professional pianists. I then practiced bi-monthly, with a professional pianist for four years. Notably, performed at the Chicago Hilton for the Kiwanis International, for members of harmonica organizations, with a harmonica group at Merkin Hall in New York City, the Turtle Bay Music School, in a hospital, nursing homes, at a wedding and restaurant. Recorded the Tcherepnin harmonica concerto at Town Hall in New York City, and later various popular compositions. I am able to take any song and arrange it for solo harmonica and add accompaniment to it. I have had several reviews of which two are on the internet. I use amplifiers or a PA system. My repertoire includes popular, jazz, and classical. Member of the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica.
