Steve Parry Guitarist from Stillwater, MN

I'm a singer/songwriter from Stillwater, Minn., who's been fortunate enough to live in some of our country's greatest musical cities -- Seattle, Chicago, and New Orleans. While in each of these locales, I was influenced by a multitude of talented artists and had the opportunity to meet and sometimes even play with many of them. Over time, these various musicians helped me develop my own style. When I listen to music, I feel as though I'm watching a movie or living the lyrics first-hand. I consider each song a work of art. Good music allows listeners to take a break from their own existence and live a special experience through the song. That's what I love about music; it's a mental vacation. I tend to gravitate towards certain singer/songwriters like John Prine, Steve Earle, Guy Clark, Kris Kristofferson, Slaid Cleaves, Johnny Cash, Jamey Johnson, Bob Dylan, Zac Brown and Ray Wylie Hubbard, to name just a few of my favorites. I enjoy covering songs that make people want to sing along. I'm happiest when I can introduce new music to people or spark a memory with a song from the past. When the audience is smiling the connection has been made. I thrive at small bars and restaurants, wine bars, festivals, private parties, and corporate events.
