"Concrete Country/Americana" is the best way to describe the type of music Gene Butler plays. It's a mixture of "Concrete Country with slices of Americana and Southern Blues thrown into the mix". No songs about love, life and some drinking, are left unturned. We play straight from the hip by way of the heart. The Gene Butler Band has played such famous places in Los Angeles as the Old Palomino Club, the Viper Room, the Key Club, the Troubador and the House of Blues. We've also played up, down and across the country - from Seattle to Texas, to New Orleans, to Nashivile, Georgia and Florida. I've been fortunate to have nine of my songs placed in films and television...big and small.
