~~Miss Moses was formed to blend American Folk, Roots, Rock, and Blues music appealing to a wide and diverse audience. The band consists of five seasoned musicians running the musical gamut from professionals playing in the dawning days of the Rock and Roll era to veterans playing in authentic Garage Bands of the 60's to contemporary Retro music artist enthusiasts blending stylized lead vocals with richly layered harmonies.
Combinations of stringed instruments including acoustic and electric guitars, 12-string and tenor guitars, mandolin, ukulele, banjo and dobro are juxtaposed to Keyboards adding piano, organ, accordion, harmonica, and various string and horn section voicings to their solid rhythmic foundation of bass, drums, and hand percussion.
Miss Moses combines covers of legendary performers like Bob Dylan, Levon Helm and The Band, The Byrds, Taj Mahal, Tom Petty, and John Hiatt with contemporary Alternative artists such as Old Crow Medicine Show, A. A. Bondy and Robert Earl Keen. An eclectic mix of songs by artists as diverse as The Strawbs, Jack White, and the Reverend Gary Davis are thrown in for good measure. Many of their covers are stylized to blend varied genres such as Rockabilly, Zydeco, Bluegrass, and Rock into the mix.
Added to this, Miss Moses performs several of their original songs in the Americana genre of Blues, Folk, Rock, Country, and Singer-Songwriter Ballads. The music of Miss Moses appeals to a very wide audience range including young, old, rocking, laid-back, and modern and classic rock music fans alike.
