Riley plays a Martin acoustic guitar. Which he plays well but know more for vocal talents. Quite often he sings the National Anthem at events.
His songbook is nearly 400 songs, and he performs most of them from memory. They are a variety of the standards, the classics, oldies, country, folk, Irish and his own originals. Music is just one of his talents.

What is his latest endeavor? He is the inventor of Runyaking. Runyaking is kayaking a waterway, exiting the water, running back to where a person started kayaking. By repeating about ten miles kayaking and ten miles, each time picking up from where he left off, he has runyaked from Michigan to the Statue of Liberty, some 2,400 mile of runyaking over 115 day spanning the past 7 years. (Have not actually finished yet. Will finish this July by doing the final 50 miles kayaking, and 50 mile running)
