For the last few years, I have been performing and mastering the art of looping in a live setting. It allows me the freedom to be self reliant, creative, unique, spontaneous and most importantly, it sounds awesome. The audience always loves it. Equipped with 2 looping pedals and an acoustic guitar, I fill as much space as if there was a band behind me. More recently, I have pushed the boundaries and have incorporated an electric guitar into the looping which allows me to solo over and add to existing loops.
Inspired by other looping artists (such as Andrew Bird, Ed Sheeran, Reggie Watts, Tune Yards, Keller Williams, etc.) I perform not only my original music, but I also put a different spin on various covers, both classics and the contemporary music of the last few years. I've learned to play and adapt to what my audience wants to hear. With hundreds of songs of various genres to choose from, my setlists can change on the fly.
During my time at Berklee College of Music, I developed a strong mentoring relationship with Livingston Taylor (brother of James Taylor) that continues to this day.
Touring extensively through New England, I've had the opportunity to play the side-stages for notable acts such as Bob Dylan, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, John Mayer, The Allman Brothers, Phish, Citizen Cope, Zac Brown Band, Dave Matthews Band, Bruno Mars, Steely Dan, and Steve Winwood for the House of Blues and the Live Nation VIP rooms across the New York, Boston and Connecticut area.
